Rex Maynard
Rex Maynard is the youngest son of Maynard’s founder, Al Maynard. He began working at Maynard’s part-time in the summers in 1961 and full-time in June, 1969 after graduating from Wofford College. During the past 50+ years he has worked as a member of the warehouse & delivery staff and served as the Warehouse & Delivery Supervisor, Store Manager and company CEO and President. He currently serves as Maynard’s Chief Financial Officer and President. Rex has been involved in many areas of the home furnishings industry, serving as President and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Southern Home Furnishings Association and as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the National Home Furnishings Association. He received the Willis Award of Merit for his contributions to the furniture industry, his community and his God in 1989, and was recognized with the Furniture World Award of Merit in 1997. Rex was awarded the Order of the Palmetto in 2015. He is very active as a volunteer for the United States Tennis Association as well as United Way and numerous other community organizations. Rex and his wife Louise have four children and thirteen grandchildren.
Alderman Maynard
Alderman joined the company in 1999 after graduating from Wofford College. Alderman is the Vice President and Chief Sales Officer of the company. He has been married to his wife, Kathleen, since 2002 and they have two children, Boyd and Brice. When away from work, Alderman enjoys spending time with his family as well as being outdoors hunting and fishing.
Blake Maynard
Blake joined the company in 2004 after graduating from Wofford College. Blake is currently the Treasurer and Chief Operating Officer of the company. He has been married to his wife, Jean Anne, since 2006, and they have three children, Blake, Annie and Mamie. Blake enjoys family time, fishing, and golf during his time away from work.
Debbie Vaughn, Office/Computer Operations
For over 10 years Debbie has been a dedicated staff member who handles important day-to-day operations including receivables, payables and payroll. Her amazing customer service skills are a value to our company in all aspects of business operations.
Kathleen McAllister
Kathleen, an Anderson native has been with Maynard's in sales and design for 24 years. She is a graduate of Erskine College. Her son, Thomas and his wife, Meg live in Washington, DC where he serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Jeff Duncan. Kathleen's attention to detail and desire to please her clients while assisting them in making their homes a haven are two of her stronger attributes. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville and enjoys gardening as she is a Master Gardener.
Cindy Buice
Cindy Buice, an Anderson native and USC graduate, has been designing residential and commercial spaces for over 30 years before joining Maynard's almost 10 years ago. She is eager to assist customers in selecting pieces to create a beautiful and welcoming environment to fit their homes and lifestyle. Recently semi-retired, she enjoys spending more time with her family and friends and reclaiming her yard.
Christine Drais
In April 2023, Maynard's welcomed Christine to the sales and design team. This Clemson and UCF graduate brings decades of experience in assisting clients with creative solutions in making their house a home. Prior to living in Anderson, she resided in Homer, Alaska and was a long time resident of Seneca, SC where she ran her family retail and interior design business. Christine is an avid quilter, enjoys playing golf, baking, and spending time with her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Todd Collins
After 35 years in the furniture business, the best of which have been at Maynard's for the last 12 years, Todd says he gets up every day excited to help others create the home of their dreams. He has another artistic side too. Next time you're in the Piedmont store be sure to check out his collection of colorful paintings hanging in his office.
Sylvia Evans
Since 1988, Sylvia has been helping "Nice People" transform houses into beautiful, cozy homes. When away from work she enjoys spending time with her husband, Keith, her son Josh and his wife Erin, her family and church friends, and the Wren Golden Hurricanes community. Sylvia also enjoys spending time with her two German Shorthaired Pointers, Smith & Wesson.
